2026 AMBA Slow Withered Organically Grown Green Tea

Do not skip this gorgeous Sri Lankan organic green tea from AMBA Estate! It's exceptionally refreshing and buttery with gorgeous light florals and fruits and an intriguing hug of nuttiness around the edges. The liquor is a lovely pale yellow with gorgeous clarity. 

Hand-picked and hand-made by AMBA's amazing staff of Sri Lankan artisan tea makers, this green tea is one my favorites from their already very impressive lineup.  Normally, I might be a bit reluctant to go all in on a green from Sri Lanka given the preponderance of assamica plants on the island (these are great for black tea, but can be a bit rough for green - especially with Sri Lanka's heat). 

The team at AMBA has truly mastered the challenge of making an exceptional, high level green tea that is inspired in some ways by the best of Chinese green tea production, but is also very uniquely Sri Lankan.  

Excellent western style, gong fu style, and as a bowl tea.
